Filipino Travelers to Singapore warned anew of Transit/Entry
Restrictions
17 March 2008 – The Department of Foreign Affairs reiterates its previous
warnings to Filipinos bound for Singapore against bringing live bullets or
items made from prohibited, illegal, or controlled materials commonly worn
by traveling Filipino seafarers as amulets and talismans.
The reminder is in connection with the latest incident involving a
Filipino national who was found in possession of two (2) live bullets
during transit at Changi International Airport. The Filipino national was
issued a notice of warning and his passport data were recorded.
The traveling public is advised to strictly adhere to the travel
restrictions imposed by the Singapore and other governments in this
regard.
